PARK CITY FUN

I love Park City and if I could  I would love to retire there.  It is such a beautiful place with so much to do, I just love it.  So last week I reserved our timeshare and Jeff and I enjoyed some very much needed R and R.  We had Brandon, Dayna and Hailey with us for the weekend and we had such a great time just hanging out.

We did a little shopping.  Hailey pulls off sunglasses with style.  Which pair looks best, purple or green?

Playing at the Park was such fun.  Hailey loved checking each of the toys out.

Grandpa Swaner came up and spent the afternoon with us.

Kids day on main street was fun and Hailey got a cute balloon from a funny clown.

"Mimmi" Hailey loved going to the pool and was ready at a moments notice.

We enjoyed good food and Hailey made a "Castle-dilla" from her quesadilla.  She cracked us up, how does a two year old come up with that.  Her grandma thinks she is the smartest two-year old around.

Even after the kids left I had a great time.  I took a pilates class, a yoga class with Karen, I ran, took early morning walks, I love to walk the hills and enjoy the early morinings outside in the mountians.  I took advantage of some retail therapy,  met Beth and Bree in Salt Lake for Lunch, watched movies and even had some productive time sewing and I even learned how to make sushi.  So much fun and so relaxing.  Thanks to my family for a great week.

GREAT STORAGE FIND FOR THE PICTURE DILEMA

In the past year or so I have had a couple of scares that my computer might crash and that I might lose all my pictures stored there.  I have also had an ongoing dilema with how to store those many pictures  in as little space as possible, because storage space for picture starts to becomes an issue.    After our recent trip to Italy and Haileys birthday party I set about  to copy my pictures onto  disks and I when I went to the cupboard to get a jewel case and saw that I was out so I made a trip to Staples and it was there that I made a great little discovery. As  I was looking for more Jewel cases when I came across this cute little file looking box that can store 80 disks in half the amount of space as the slim jewel cases.  My goal then became to organize and catalog all of my pictures...what a good feeling it is to know that all my pictures are organized and safe and sound.  I am so happy to come across this little find.  I can now save twice as many disks in half the amount of space.  And the box is cute enough to leave out on a shelf if you want.  THIS BOX MAKES ME HAPPY NOT ONLY BECAUSE IT IS GREAT STORAGE, BUT IT ENCOURAGED  ME TO GET ALL MY PICTURES ORGANIZED SO NOW IF I WANT TO FIND THE PICTURES FROM CHRISTMAS 2009  I KNOW EXACTLY WHERE THEY ARE.  YEAH!!

DEAR MOM,
I UNDERSTAND.
I LOVE YOU.

Letter from a Mother to a Daughter: "My dear girl, the day you see I’m getting ...old, I ask you to please be patient, but most of all, try to understand what I’m going through. If when we talk, I repeat the same thing a thousand times, don’t interrupt to say: “You said the same thing a minute ago”... Just listen, please. Try to remember the times when you were little and I would read the same story night after night until you would fall asleep. When I don’t want to take a bath, don’t be mad and don’t embarrass me. Remember when I had to run after you making excuses and trying to get you to take a shower when you were just a girl? When you see how ignorant I am when it comes to new technology, give me the time to learn and don’t look at me that way... remember, honey, I patiently taught you how to do many things like eating appropriately, getting dressed, combing your hair and dealing with life’s issues every day... the day you see I’m getting old, I ask you to please be patient, but most of all, try to understand what I’m going through. If I occasionaly lose track of what we’re talking about, give me the time to remember, and if I can’t, don’t be nervous, impatient or arrogant. Just know in your heart that the most important thing for me is to be with you. And when my old, tired legs don’t let me move as quickly as before, give me your hand the same way that I offered mine to you when you first walked. When those days come, don’t feel sad... just be with me, and understand me while I get to the end of my life with love. I’ll cherish and thank you for the gift of time and joy we shared. With a big smile and the huge love I’ve always had for you, I just want to say, I love you... my darling daughter. "
Even though this brought me to tears. I loved it and wanted to share it.  Something all daughters need to read and think about.
Happy Mother's Day!
